Chrissa McFarlane is the CEO of Patientory, a global currency and population health management service that regulates and secures patient data, Named as one of the top women “leaving their mark on the medtech field” by Becker’s Hospital Review, Chrissa launched Patientory in December 2015 after seeing the need in the market for a more personalized and secure population health management solution. Jack Neil, MD

Dr. Jack Neil is CEO/Cofounder of Zather Inc, Founder of udifi Inc, and Chief Technology Officer/Pediatric Anesthesiologist at MedStream Anesthesia. He is also a member of the American Society of Anesthesia’s Electronic Media and Information Technology Committee. A physician and application developer by training, his passions lie at the intersect of healthcare and technology. He has written blockchain health record distributed applications (MyMed), medical-device compliance reporting smart-contracts, acoustic detection and classification neural networks (Aud.ai), nursery smart-monitors with on-board cry detection and correction (Babifi), anesthesia information management systems (Neptune), autonomous cryptocurrency trading bots (Cryptifi), remote video-surveillance and trapping systems (HogNet), and web applications (Carousel USA; ClassicCamo) to name a few. He is a contributor to numerous blockchain libraries on github and has filed patents in the fields of artificial intelligence and virtual reality.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from the University of South Carolina at the age of 19. He worked for a year as a Systems Architect at Premier Environmental Solutions where he developed applications to unify CRM, billing, and asset tracking. He received his Medical Doctorate degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He completed one year of pediatric residency at Palmetto Health in Columbia, SC followed by a year of surgery residency at Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, HI. He completed his residency in anesthesia at the Medical College of Georgia, followed by a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at the University of Michigan. He is board certified in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology. In his post-training years, he has held technology positions at Blue9 Systems and MedStream Anesthesia. He practices anesthesiology at Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville, NC as well as Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. He is married to his lovely wife Kristen (a pediatrician) and they recently celebrated their first child’s first birthday (Hank).

His current ventures include Zather Inc (zather.ai) – a crowdsourced machine learning training data marketplace, and udifi Inc (udifi.com) – a project company.

Dr. Joseph Wood, PhD, MD

Dr. Joseph Wood is the Chief Medical Officer, Virtual Health for the Army’s Regional Medical Command-Atlantic (RHC-A) at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center (DDEAMC), Ft. Gordon GA. In this role, he is the medical director responsible for the oversight and development of Virtual Health clinical services throughout RHC-A. His previous positions at DDEAMC were the Chief Medical Information Officer and the Chief of Clinical Investigation Department with oversight of research facilities and regulatory oversight for research done at Army facilities in the Southeastern US. In this role he was also the principal investigator and program manager for the development and management of the Defense Medical Research Network and e-IRB across the DoD. Prior to these positions he was the Chief of the Endocrinology Clinic.

He spent 30 years as an officer in the US Army with various roles in clinical medicine, research and military operational medicine. During Operation Iraqi Freedom 2004-2005, Dr. Wood was the Chief of Clinical Operations for the Multinational Corps-Iraq where he was responsible for reviewing, recommending and/or establishing clinical policies/guidance/plans/standards in support of a 135,000 soldiers in a combined, joint, operational headquarters engaged in combat operations in Iraq. Colonel Wood retired from military service in 2015.

Dr. Wood has received multiple DoD research grants in the areas of digital health, digital therapeutics, TeleHealth and in military operational medicine and published over 60 articles and abstracts. He continues to be actively engaged in funded research and most recently in research and development of blockchain use in healthcare within the military health system.

He received his chemistry degree at North Georgia University, PhD in Endocrinology Research from the Medical College of Georgia, MD degree from George Washington University, residency training in Internal Medicine at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu HI, and Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC.

Dr. Wood is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and practices General Endocrinology in both a traditional clinic setting and via TeleHealth to remote patients using a variety of virtual health modalities.

Bryant Joseph GILOT, MD CM DPhil MSc

Dr Bryant Gilot is a surgeon at the Center for Personalized Medicine in Tübingen. His interests include bioinformatics, blockchain technologies & the digital transformation of healthcare. Ron Ribitzky, MD

Founder & CEO of R&D Ribitzky, Dr. Ron is an entrepreneurial driver and enabler of pragmatic innovation who specialized in bringing together clinical, science, technology, operations, and business throughout the program, project, and product lifecycle. He has 30 years of experience in healthcare IT and life-sciences informatics with global leading brands and world-class organizations, R&D, and academia in the U.S. and 23 developed and emerging economy countries.

His clinical and healthcare administration experience developed through serving as a military Search & Rescue (SAR) Flight Surgeon, Primary Care Physician in private practice, and Sr. Resident in Pediatrics. Jim St. Clair

Jim is the CTO of The Dinocrates Group, a Maryland-based boutique strategy and advisory firm, and the founder of the Institute for Healthcare Financial Technology. He is a senior professional with over 25 years combined experience in risk management, technology and cyber security for numerous organizations in various industries, emphasizing healthcare and public sectors.

As CTO, Jim leads the Dinocrates Transformational Technology Services to assist public and private sector clients understand and adopt the latest advances in technology and processes such as Blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), robotic process automation (RPA) and cyber risk.

Given the dramatic changes in technology and healthcare delivery, Jim recently founded the Institute for Healthcare Financial Technology, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the healthcare value chain to reduce costs and streamline access and delivery of healthcare. Jason Goldwater

I have been working in the field of health information technology and quality improvement for almost twenty years, having first started out developing websites for the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE) to record abstracts for research they were funding in long-term care. Since that time, I have worked on the implementation guides for the HIPAA X12 837 and 277 standards for State Medicaid Agencies; developed Health Level Seven (HL7) specifications for immunization registries as as well as vaccine ordering and delivery; managed the development of applications to capture quality measures for hospitals, physician offices and nursing homes; assisted in the development of measures for Hospital Public Reporting and the Annual Payment Update (precursors to PQRS) for CMS; developed pilot EHRs for emergency preparedness; managed $50M projects for CDC and FDA; served as the Principal Investigator on a number of national research studies for the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT; the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation; the Commonwealth Fund and the California HealthCare Foundation. I am a highly experienced Project Manager, who has supervised up to 40 staff with budgets as high as $75M and I am a proven business developer, who has generated over $40M in revenue within the health IT sector.

Rika Sukenik

Rika currently works at ConsenSys, a rapidly growing blockchain start-up focused on the Ethereum ecosystem. She is most excited about designing and building self-regulating systems and applying economic and social theory to dream up new ways we can exchange value. Quinetha Frasier, CEO, Social Impact Technology

Dale Tuck

Dale is a Passionate Technologist, Value Seeker, Strategy Advisor, Applied AI practitioner and Blockchain Commentator. Jim Kelly is a revenue cycle leader in the healthcare industry by way of his finance and operations
experiences at Ernst & Young, Stockamp & Associates, Emory Healthcare, Children’s Healthcare of
Atlanta, and currently Himformatics. From digging his way through and successfully filing 200+ provider
enrollment forms to Medicare & Medicaid, leading more than 45 physician practice and hospital
consolidations, and chasing down multi-million-dollar remittances through a jungle of intermediaries, he
has gathered a robust inventory of industry shortcomings. Witnessing a wide variety of both successes
and struggles in the healthcare industry, he sees tremendous opportunity for new solutions to solve
long-standing challenges and believes Blockchain technology offers several compelling features that may
help this industry.

He is the founder of GameChainger.com a site focused on introducing patients, providers, and payors to
Blockchain technology through a set of curated resources to help make the climb up the Blockchain
learning curve easier. He believes there is a far greater portion of the healthcare industry that is

Trey Keifer, Technical Director, NCC Group

Trey Keifer joined NCC Group in 2018 as a Technical Director, with a focus on growing the SouthEast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Trey started his career in the Infosec industry in 2003 performing Network and Application security assessments. Before joining NCC he led global teams at Fortune 100 organizations in the finance and insurance industries, started and ran his own application security consulting practice and has presented at numerous regional cybersecurity conferences including OWASP and BSides. Samson Williams

Samson is a classically trained anthropologist, entrepreneur and finance expert who is happy to share the business and startup lessons he’s paid the iron price for. Tonya Evans

Tonya M. Evans is a Professor of Law at the University of New Hampshire School of Law and faculty member of the UNH Law Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property. Professor Evans has expertise in the areas of intellectual property, new technologies (including blockchain), entrepreneurship & innovation, entertainment law, trusts & estates, and municipal finance. She is a member of the International Telecommunications Union Focus Group on Digital Currency including Digital Fiat Currency, the International Telecommunications Union Focus Group on Application of Distributed Ledger Technology, and also The Accord Project’s IP Working Group, which works to develop best practices and standardization of smart legal contracts. She teaches, writes, and speaks regularly in the United States and abroad primarily about the intersections of copyright and new technologies as well as estates law issues. This fall Professor Evans will teach Blockchain and the Law, develop JD and non-JD courses on related topics, and host online educational opportunities for women and girls of color to learn and excel in the blockchain ecosystem.

Kathryn Crous

Kate Crous has spent her entire career in healthcare working both in Canada and the U.S.A.  Her passion for her patients has continued when she moved from nursing to technology in healthcare.  Healthcare has typically lagged in technology and Kate is determined to help change that. Having worked as the CIO in two academic health systems in the Greater New York area and deploying many EMRs across the country has given her the unique skills to help forensically interpret the EMR for patients, hospitals, physicians and attorneys.  Kate founded EMR Forensics Expert LLC and spends her time with family, treasured friends and trusted colleagues making a difference in the healthcare industry.

Glenn Austin is currently the CFO at Dash Core Group, Inc. Dash is an innovative digital currency
that offers a number of improvements over Bitcoin, and is a popular payments option for consumers
online, and at the Point of Sale. Prior to Dash, Glenn spent most of the past 20 years in the financial
services industry, including strategy and finance roles at Citigroup, Morgan Stanley and UBS.

Glenn holds a MBA from Columbia Business School and an A.B. in Economics from Harvard
University.

Tiffany Gray, DrPH

Tiffany Gray, DrPH, holds a Master’s in Public Health in Maternal and Child Health, and has recently obtained her Doctorate in Public Health in Health Behavior from the Milken Institute School of Public Health at the George Washington University in Washington, DC. At Milken, she served as the MeTRIC Scholar for the Metropolitan Tobacco Research and Instruction Consortium. In her role, she helped to foster collaborative research efforts with university and community level partners in an effort to help reduce tobacco use and health-related disparities in the District of Columbia. Her most recent research experience has been centered on tobacco use behaviors including cessation, prevention and intervention among vulnerable populations, including youth and young adults.

Tiffany has over 8 years of experience in the field of public health, regulatory compliance and behavioral health research. Her most recent interests are in the application of blockchain technology in healthcare and its use in addressing population health and health-related disparities, as well as the potential regulatory and ethical implications. Tiffany has also recently joined as an advisor and subcommittee member as part of the United Nation’s Blockchain for Impact, Global Health and Emergency Response subcommittee.

Marquesa Finch, MPH

Marquesa is a Founding Partner at P2Health Ventures, a startup ecosystem and venture fund supporting entrepreneurs building public health tech solutions. Public health tech is any tech or tech-enabled service that prevents the onset of disease or addresses the needs of medically vulnerable populations. She is also the Blockchain Health Lead for the Silicon Valley Blockchain Society where she works on their blockchain health initiatives and is an active thought leader in leveraging blockchain technology to improve equity and access. Previously, Marquesa worked on improving diversity and inclusion in tech through entrepreneurship at the Kapor Center for Social Impact and at the American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA), disseminated global health interventions in the Palestinian West Bank. Upon returning from the Middle East, she continued to work in digital health at Kaiser Permanente, building their first app analytics program.
Marquesa studied Art History and Biology at the University of California, Santa Barbara and earned her Masters in Public Health (MPH) in Global Health at The George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health in Washington, D.C.
